2. Abiotic And Biotic Factors Flashcards
Biotic factors
All living organisms that form the ecosystem and interact with each other. These interactions determine survival, growth and reproduction.
Types of biotic factors
Intraspecific and interspecific.
Intraspecific
Organisms of same species that belong to the same or different populations interact with each other.
Interspecific
Organisms of different species that belong to the same or different communities interact with each other.
Abiotic factors
Non-living parts of ecosystems that shape the environment and determine the types of organisms that can live there.
Types of abiotic factors
Physical factors and chemical factors.
Physical factors
Temperature, light, moist, water, altitude.
Chemical factors
Nutrients concentration in soil, salt concentration, oxygen concentration, pH (acidity).
