what is the purpose of the purpose of data collection?

A
  • to prove to third party payors that progress has been made and that further treatment is warranted
  • to demonstrate to the client the progress or lack thereof
  • to provide the clinician with a sense of when to make therapy more/less difficult, i.e. a direction
