The double V stood for double Victory. One victory against the enemy abroad (Germany) and one was against the enemy at home (Civil Rights Laws).

‘Separate but equal’

Did Civil Rights Improve after/during WW11?
Yes in one way as over one million Balck people joined the forces as well as the setting up of the Double V campaign although in another way the Jim crow laws were still around and white americans were shocked and upset by the no segregation in Britain.

She was a real women who was a riveter but she drawn on a poster to show women they can be strong like the men!
Why did women enter the workforce in ww2?
The men were out at war so those roles needed to be filled
