When and what was Black Tuesday

A

October 29,1929
Signaled the end of the post-war prosperity. On this day 16 million shares were sold on the New York stock market. Soon the value of the stock market shares had decreased by $30 million and thousand of people lost their life savings. After this gene those with money were fearful about the future and reluctant to spend. Without customers stores and factories were soon closing all over North America.
