19) Development / Project Brief - L1 L2 Optional-Technical Flashcards
My Level 1 Answer: (Answer may need shortening as quite wordy)
(31.03.25) Through experience, I understand a project brief is vital for aligning expectations, defining clear objectives, and ensuring focus throughout the project lifecycle. I’m aware of the requirement to understanding the client’s key drivers, project background, and site/building information. I ensure the brief clearly defines client requirements and expectations relating to time, cost and quality, while incorporating stakeholder input. By outlining specific deliverables and boundaries, I understand it helps minimise scope creep. I understand the importance of establishing the criteria that will determine the extent of a project’s success. To further my knowledge, I have studied RICS isurv web article ‘forming a client brief’ and have undertaken CPD on taking briefs.
