Define Redemptive efficacy:
Redemptive efficacy - the belief that the Paschal Mystery leads to the salvation of humanity
Salvation from sin is needed because?
- Sin prevents us from
having a FULL relationship with God - Jesus’ role on earth was
to save us from sin. He
does so on the cross
Grace is needed because:
- It is the gift of God’s love which helps us in our lives
- It is received in the sacraments. Especially the gift of the Holy Spirit- this helps us live our faith out in the world- evangelise.
How is salvation made known during Mass?
At the Mass we receive the Eucharist (forgives venial sins), as well as hear from the Bible the Word of God and teachings that help lead to salvation.
How is salvation made known in the sacraments?
- In Baptism we are forgiven from sin and enter into the Church.
- In the other sacraments we receive God’s grace (love) and the help to live a good Christian life.
Who helps people obtain grace?
- Holy Spirit helps guide people with the journey to salvation and grace
- Catholics believe that the Church can help Catholics
achieve salvation today through the Sacraments

How can Catholics be redeemed?
By following the Church Catholics can live a just life
and have the chance to be saved or redeemed
