OUTCOME MEASURE
Measurement tool that is used to measure baseline function and progress in treatment.
VALIDITY
Ensures that it measures what it says it does.
RELIABILITY
Ensure that it is accurate.
INTER-RATER RELIABILITY
Ensures that is accurate between different raters.
RESPONSIVENESS
Ability to measure change over time.
BERG BALANCE SCALE
Minimal detectable change: has to change from a certain point to say it has changed. ex. has to change 4 points in order to see a change.
TUG
Timed Up and Go.
On “go” patient stands up, walks, turns and sit in chair again.
6-MINUTE WALK TEST
Individual walks as far as they can in 6 minutes without assistance.
Walk as quickly as you can for 6 minutes, in a circle.
400-700 meters is the range.
LEFS
Lower Extremity Functional Scale
Self report.
MODIFIED OSWESTRY
Questions for those with back pain.
