13C NMR Spectroscopy Flashcards

1
Q

What is broad band NMR Spectroscopy?

A

Protons are decoupled. All hydrogens are wiped out to make singlets. Number of peaks equals to the number of carbons.

Q

What is ORD NMR Spectroscopy?

A

Off Resonance decoupling. Only allows 1J coupling. You will only see quartet (CH3), triplet (CH2), doublet (CH), singlet (C)
