13C- NMR Flashcards
1
Q
What is Broad Band C-NMR
A
Protons are decoupled, only singlets show, number of peaks is equal to the number of carbons present in the molecule!
2
Q
Off resonance decoupling? (ORD)
A
Only allows J1 coupling
CH3(quartet), CH2(triplet), CH(doublet), C(singlet)
3
Q
13C DEPT
A
Never shows quantenary carbons (C with no H)
4
Q
135 DEPT
A
Shows CH2 as down peaks. CH3/CH and up peaks! No lonely C
5
Q
90 DEPT
A
Only shows methines (CH)
6

Benzene
