  1. Most meters do not read above 100% LEL, they shut off to protect themselves
  2. Some meters at 100% LEL read “OFF,” “999,” “***,” or some other nondescriptive display
  3. Trainees must know appropriate action levels in their SOP for evacuation of occupied buildings, illustrated by the meter alarming.
