1. Metal-Oxide-based explosive gas detector will detect low levels of gas that your 4-gas will not.
2. Start nearest the leak and evacuate outward
3. Some gas may not escape, it may migrate underground.
4. Be very careful in deciding to force entry to a house with possible gas inside (closest to leak).
5. Gas Techs are trained to measure NG in percent volume of gas. FF measure percent of Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). (Gas tech says 10%, he means 10% gas. FF saying 10% means 10% LEL)
