- 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights were intended to protect the civil liberties of US citizens from the actions of government
- e.g. 1st amendment - 10th amendment
How does the subsequent amendments to the constitution protect civil rights in the USA?
- When constitution was written it was only for free people but amendments allowed for rights to be given to all

- pressure groups have led many campaigns to support rights
