When apparatus is stopped or safe to do so, remove steamer cap
Inspect barrel
Connect Hydrant Gate
Radio or signal driver or sector officer you are ready to turn on
Open hydrant when ordered by driver or sector officer, close drain valve
Gather tools, remove kinks, report to your office for reassignment

Return to position in truck, relay the ready signal to driver and officer
At the scene, safely dismount, un-couple the supply line at the nearest joint
Attach the supply line to the appropriate apparatus
Communicate to the driver line is ready
Report to officer for reassignment
