Direct Democracy
people have a direct say in determining laws and policies made, also known as participatory democracy
participatory democracy
where the people/citizens have a say in the deciding policies and decisions
pluralist democracy
interest groups compete with each other to exert influence over policies
elite democracy
policies and laws are decided by a select group of wealthy and educated people
interest groups
Compete in the “marketplace of ideas” and look access points at the local,state and federal levels to persuade policymakers

an established organization or corporation(churches, school, etc)
policies meaning
proposed by a government, party, business, or individual.
pluralist meaning
a person who believes that the existence of different types of people, beliefs, and opinions within a society is a good thing.
elite meaning
the people who have the most wealth and status in a society; the most successful.
example of elite goverment
people that most time ,education,money and access to government will take more action than the less privileged and because of their resources, they will be heard
