Three options of GI in France?
A
- Appellation d’origine protégée, AOP (PDO, Protected Designation of Origin). Before it was called Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC), or simply AC.
- Indication géographique protégée, IGP (PGI, Protected geographical indication), same as VdP (Vin de Pays), which is also often used
- Vin de France (No GI, geographical indication)
