Values tend to be close to the mean
When is there larger SD?
Values are spread out over a closer range. Helps to identify outliers.
How do you find the standard deviation?
You find the mean of your numbers in the data set, then you see how far away those numbers are to the mean. Next, you square those numbers and add them together, then you divide them again by how many numbers there were. You finally square that number.
