What are policy papers?
Documents that analyze complex issues and offer solutions to them.
They can be used to present policy before legislation, convince policy makers to change course on an issue, or provide decision makers with an overview of a problem.
(Policy papers can take many forms, including white papers, briefing papers, and policy submissions)
What are papers of value?
Documents that are important to a person’s estate, documents that are important to a business, and privately held shares.
Also the current value of an asset or company calculated based on the market demand and supply, and it is mostly associated with stocks and mutual funds.
What is poise?
The way you handle yourself during a round
Why are facial expressions and gestures important?
They help convey emotions, emphasis, and context that words can’t do alone.
Why is attire important?
When making a first impression, the way you dress tells the judge what kind of attitude you have or how serious you are about the debate.
Your appearance should show respect for the judge, your opponent, and for yourself.
What is vocalized pause?
Sounds you sometimes utter while speaking; umm, er, uh, etc.
What is critical thinking?
The ability to review information from many points of view; being fair-minded.
It means analyzing and interpreting the information that has been presented.
What are good speaking-skills?
Articulation, pronunciation, volume, rate, grammar, vocabulary, correct word usage, and gestures.
