What is the difference between RAM and ROM?
RAM is random access memory, which you can read and write to, but is volatile.
ROM is read-only memory which you can only read, but is non volatile.
What is primary storage?
Storage of programs and data that the computer needs while it is running. It is mostly volatile, with the exception of ROM, and so will not be saved when the computer is turned off
What is secondary storage?
Long-term storage of data and files. It is non volatile, so nothing is lost when the computer is powered off.
Name three types of secondary storage devices
Solid-state storage, optical storage, and magnetic storage.
What is bigger a megabyte or a kilobyte?
A megabyte
How many megabytes in a gigabyte?
1024
