Graduated/ Proportional Symbol Map
A map that uses symbols to convey the amount of something in a certain area compared to other areas. The symbols are different sizes depending on the area or value.
Cartogram Map
A map that puts countries into perspective by certain data, such as population size, while still showing it in the right locations.
Isoline Map
A map that uses lines to show changes in the data.
Topographic Map
A map that uses isoline lines to show elevation along a hiking trail.
