World view that shapes how people perceive environmental issues influenced by cultural, religious, and sociopolitical reasons

Value system that puts ecology and nature as central to humanity and emphasises a less materialistic approach to life with greater self-sufficiency of societies

Centred on technology and its ability to control and protect the environment

More value on the environment, it must be prioritised and protected

Values humanity more; exploitation of nature to benefit humans

Could prove bad for economic growth, requires individual change on a big scale

Prioritises humans, allows for economic development

Alternatives without being inconvenient, allows sustainable development
