The term superpower was first used by T.R Fox ‘The US, Britain and the Soviet Union’ - with their responsibility for peace.
How did Britain become a superpower?
Britain was the only surviving country in Europe post WW2 and we had control over the British Empire before it was about to collapse; making is permanently apart of the UN security council.
What is a superpower?
A superpower is a nation or group of nations that has a leading position in international politics. It includes cultural, economical, military and geographic influence.

USA and USSR
How did the cold war affect the world?
It affected both chess and basketball games, additionally the respective countries and their allies did not attend the Olympics in Moscow in 1980 and Los Angeles 1984.
Did the USA or USSR end up being the only superpower?
The USA after the USSR collapsed due to communism and broke down.
How is power projected?
Military strength, economic wealth, culture and geographical location.

There are no private ownerships of property to avoid profits at expense of others.
What is a Capitalist society?
Profit rules in this society and could create a division between employer and employee.
What is a Imperialist society?
Culture, Economy, Politics and Democracy.
What will happen as we emerge into a multi-polar world?
USA will be less dominant as a rocky time ahead could take place with shortage of supplies including food, fuel and water. Climate change may also become a much bigger problem than it already is, possibly triggering international flashpoints.
What are some of the features of a superpower?
High volume of trade, population in millions, Nuclear strength, GDP etc.
