Are words and phrases relevant
to your product
▶ Keywords are relevant terms to describe
your product
▶ Search terms are what customers enter in the
search bar when they’re shopping. This is what
they will use to find your product

LTL

A

: Less than Truckload
▶ Shipping term (typically for palletized product)
for how much space a shipping container takes
up if less than a full container
▶ For example: if you ship 4 pallets, this does not
fill the container to capacity - this is LTL
* So as not to ship a near-empty container,
they will fill the container with other people’s
shipments too
▶ More expensive than FTL (full truckload)
▶ When you’re starting out, your shipments
probably won’t fill a whole container

Landed cost

A

The total cost to make and transport your
product from the factory to the Amazon
warehouse (or end destination)
▶ Landed cost includes manufacturing costs,
shipping/freight costs, freight forwarder fees,
packaging costs, customs, taxes, etc.
▶ Essentially, all of the costs that went into getting
your product to its final destination - this is much
more than just the cost to manufacture

MAP

A

Minimum Advertised Price
▶ Retailers cannot advertise a brand’s product
below a certain set price - the MAP
▶ Retailers CAN sell below MAP - they just can’t
advertise that they are
* This is why sometimes you see “add to cart to
see price” when shopping online

* Product title

A

Minimum Order Quantity
▶ This is the minimum quantity a factory will
produce in one order
▶ Not always firm - you may be able
to negotiate lower
* i.e. MOQ of 1k units to 500 units
▶ MOQs are often lower outside of the US
and higher within the US
