What is OSHA
Occupational safety and health admin
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the regulating agency under the U.S. Department of Labor that enforces safety and health standards in the workplace
What does EPA stand for and what is their purpose
Environmental protection agency
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approves the efficacy of products used for infection control.
What is the SDS and why is it important
The SDS is the safety data sheet that provides all the information needed when an incident in not dire enough to be an emergency, but a reaction is happening. It will guide as to what to do to ensure client protection and safety.
Is sterilization always required in a salon setting
No, sterilization is only required when blood or bodily fluids are present
Porous items considered to be disposable are also called
Single use items.
What is a spor
A spor is bacteria that is in the inactive stage, but it’s encapsulated, and will go back to the active stage if the condition allows it to (dark, wet areas)
