OPORD
Operation Order
A formal statement issued by a senior commander to subordinate commanders for execution of future operations in the field. (puts the OPLAN into effect)
Warning Orders
Given to allow individual patrol members maximum time to prepare. The patrol leader should issue the order to all members as soon as possible after a patrol order is received.
Includes:
- a brief statement of the situation
- the mission of the patrol
- general instructions
EDVR
Enlisted Distribution Verification Report
A monthly statement of an activities enlisted personnel account; also acts as a historical record of the activities enlisted personnel account.

used to report operational situations/problems and recommend a course of action and other items not reported elsewhere
LOGREQ
Logistics Request
submitted by a commander prior to entering a port/country to notify the proper commands of its logistical requirements. Must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to arrival

Status of Resources and Training System
Principal report within the Navy and MSC (militarysea lift commands) to provide combat readiness data
SITREP
Situation Report
provides a detailed overview of the units entire situation
(location, activity, combat effectiveness, disposition, intel, recon, comms, and status of personnel)
LOAC
Laws of Armed Combat
tells you what you can and cannot do while in a combat situation
What are Combatants
all personnel in uniform, carrying a weapon or participating in military activities
What are non combatants
Civilians, Medical personnel, Chaplins
What is protected property
Schools, Medical facilities, Orphanages, Historical sites, Art and Science buildings, places of religion
When can Protected property be attacked
when it is clear of civilians and the enemy is using it as refuge
Parachutists
are considered helpless until they reach the ground, they cannot be fired upon in the air
Paratroopers
are considered combatants and can be fired uopn while in the air
Poisoned/Altered Weapons
You cannot use poison or poisoned weapons, and cannot alter weapons or rounds to cause greater suffering to the enemy

Article I
I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
Article II
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
Article III
If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
Article IV
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.
Article V
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause
Article VI
I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
