- Take in the morning, with a full glass of water
- May cause OESOPHAGEAL EROSION / ULCER
- Stay upright for half an hour after taking medication
- Stop tablets and see your doctor immediately if you have pain on swallowing, or new or worsening heartburn
- FOOD AND DRINKS REDUCE EFFICACY OF MED IF TAKEN TOGETHER
- Take on an empty stomach, half an hour before food
- Swallow whole, do not crush or chew medication
- Do not take antacids, calcium, iron or mineral supplements within 30 minutes of taking this medication
- Another side effect is OSTEONECORSIS OF THE JAW

Clodronate (Conefos 400mg cap, 800mg tab)

A

Bisphosphonates
I : - Hypercalcaemia of malignancy
D : 1.6-3.2mg in divided doses daily
C : - This medication is for your bones
- Take as directed by your doctor
- May cause OESOPHAGEAL EROSION / ULCER
- Stay upright for half an hour after taking medication
- Stop tablets and see your doctor immediately if you have pain on swallowing, or new or worsening heartburn
- FOOD AND DRINKS REDUCE EFFICACY OF MED IF TAKEN TOGETHER
- Take on an empty stomach, 2 hours before food or 1 hour after food
- Swallow whole, do not crush or chew medication
- Do not take antacids, calcium, iron or mineral supplements within 30 minutes of taking this medication
- Another side effect is OSTEONECORSIS OF THE JAW
