Members of the Sons of Liberty boarded ships carrying British tea and dumped the tea in the harbor to protest the Tea Act.
Boston Tea Party
A fight that escalated between colonists and British soldiers leading to five colonists being killed and one of the main events that led to the American Revolution.
Boston Massacre
Document written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776 that told KingGeorge Ill that the colonists no longer wanted to be part of England.
Declaration of Independence
Tax on imports.
Tariff
An order by King George Ill of England that blocked colonists from settling lands west of the Appalachian Mountains.
