Q

why did the tov fail?

S A R D

A
  • self determination: weak states around germany that are independent and contain german citizens ; this gives legitimacy to hitler and he could annex the territories later on
  • germany was not willing to give in and to pay the war reparations as they could not understand why they lost the war
  • revisionism : many people look back on the tov and think that it is too harsh on germany
  • depression : britain and france were too weak and preoccupied to uphold tov by the use of military force
