A
  • Provoked internation outrcry
  • Bevin (British Foreign Secretary) rejected David Ben Gurions’s plea to allow 100,000 holocaust survivors to enter palestine
  • Britain transported several illegal immigrants in Palestine back to Europe, detaining many of them in internment camps in Cyprus

  • Media: an american film crew recorded a British destroyer carring the Exodus with 4500 Jewish people who had escaped Europe, but were sent back to Germany as they did not have permission to enter Palestine
