What are the three general ways to import media into Final Cut Pro?
- Click the arrow that’s pointing downward that signifies ‘Import’.
- Go to File -> Import -> Media
- Press Command+I
What do you need to do to select specific media to import (as opposed to importing all of it)?
Hold Command and then click on the specific items you want to select. You can import multiple items at once if you wish.
Where does the media go when you import it into Final Cut Pro?
Into an event folder.
How do you import from the photo or music apps into Final Cut Pro?
Above the library click on the icon that has the camera and music image. Select the media from that point.
What is a Keyword in Final Cut Pro?
Keywords add descriptive information to a clip or clip range.
What does the blue line entail when looking at a clip in the browser?
The blue line in the browser lets you know that there is a keyword attached to that clip.
What does Analyzing the Media do in Final Cut Pro?
Analyzing media automatically corrects common problems. This is generally common color or audio problems.
What does the purple line entail when looking at a clip in the browser?
The purple line in the browser lets you know that there are analysis keywords on that clip.
How do you manually analyze a clip after import?
- Select the clip(s) in the browser.
- Control-Click the selected clip(s).
- Select “Analyze and Fix”.
