Fowler’s Position
on back with head of bed raised about 18in and knees elevated
Supine Position
lying face up
Prone Position
lying face down
Trendelenburg’s Position
on back with head lowered by tilting bed back at 45 degree angle
Dorsal recumbent Position
on back with legs bent and separated, feet flat
Lithotomy position
on back with legs flexed thighs apart, support in stirrups
Knee-Chest position
on knees with head and upper chest on table, arms crossed above head
Sim’s position
modified prone/lateral position with upper leg drawn high and forward, upper arm bent at elbow
