More common with the potent lipophilic compounds such as SUFENTANIL, REMIFENTANIL, FENTANYL, ALFENTANIL,
Believed to result from mu receptor stimulation in the CNS [ultimately influencing dopamine and GABA motor pathways]
Chest wall rigidity, laryngeal muscle rigidity, neck and extremity rigidity.

CYP3A4 inhibitors
A
will increase the amount / levels / effects of opioids
Azole, Cipro, doxy, clarithromycin, erythromycin, diclofenac, propofol, protease inhibitors.
