What is a ISS (or BISS)
An Initial Safety Sweep is a quick and limited protective inspection of a vessel to determine its condition of safety for the boarding team.
What is an EISS?
An Extended Initial Safety Sweep is used when a known hazard(s) exist.

What is a hazardous space?
A space not designed for human occupancy, such as tanks and voids, that have limited ventilation, entry, and exit points

A space that is covered or surrounded by walls (like a cube)
