Referral to GP if acid reflux etc…
Also ask about heartburn, anorexia, bulimia, alcohol consumption
Study casts- can observe changes and also be used as base line record

Mode of action of topical agents:
1. Sensodyne- potassium nitrate induces high mineral content
- stannous fluoride- blocks dentinal tubules
- Tooth mousse - amorphous calcium phosphate, blocks tubules
- Unfilled resin- forms resin plugs in tubules, contain HEMA
