UK safety com frequency?
135.475Mhz
In the absence of a specified MF or ATF frequency, the country specific frequency for use at uncontrolled airports should be used. In the UK, this is referred to as “SafetyCom” callsign “traffic” is currently assigned the use of VHF frequency 135.480 MHz.
Manoevring area?
Part of the aerodrome used for take off. landing and taxing of aircraft., excludes the aprons.
Movement area?
All aircraft of aircraft movement.
clearence limit?
You are always cleared up to a certain point.
significant point?
A specified geographcial position used to define an area nav route or flight path of an AC employeing area naviagtion.
Long final?
The long final report can be made when the aircraft turns to final approach at a distance greater than 4 NM from touchdown or when the aircraft on a straight-in approach is 8 NM (15 km) from touchdown (ICAO Doc 4444).
What is Final?
“Final” is required at 4 NM from touchdown.
Helicopter clearences?
Cleared to lift and hover
Conditional Clearence?
(Important)

- identification of the subject of the condition

- Breif reiteration
3 requirements of conditonal clearence?
(Important)
- Aircraft / vehicles concered are both seen by controller and pilot
- The aircraft / vechile causing the conditon shall be the 1st aircraft to pass in front of the aircraft.
- readback must contain condition
- controller must hear the readback.
The use of the word takeoff?
Only to be used when being cleared for take off. Otherwise departure must be used.
