A story which is used in zen to provoke the “great doubt” and to practice or test a student’s progress in Zen.

Originated in Inda around 150 BCE. Called greater because it’s teachings were more effective at getting people enlightened. Includes cultivation of Karuna or compassion towards others which helps them attain Buddhahood
What is Theravada Buddhism?
More focus on oneself and usually enlightenment means spending time in monastery

Bodhidharma
What is Samsara?
Multiple rebirths and cyclic existence
What is Wuwei?
Taoist term. Doing nothing, or not doing. Doing things effortlessly
What is Nirvana?
Literally means “blowing out”to blow out the fires of suffering
