Certificate of Airworthiness:
AC must be operated with a flight authority from transport Canada
The most common type of flight authority is the certificate of Airworthiness
Lists the serial number, the aircraft type and date of issue for the aircraft
In the top right corner, it lists the type of certificate and category (Normal, utility, etc). Could be asked on the flight test
If homebuilt AC, special certificate of airworthiness is required
Flight permits may also be issued in the interest of temporarily providing authorization for ferry flights or for testing purposes
CofA validity:
AC must remain in an airworthy condition and all required equipment must be on board, serviceable and functioning
Appropriate periodic inspections must be carried out and entered in the journey log
Any airworthiness directive (AD) must be rectified and certified and signed as airworthy by an AME
AD are special maintenance outlines or items that are issued by an aircraft manufacturer and/or aircraft component manufacturer
AC must be operated in accordance with the aircraft operation manual and WoB requirements
CoA does not have an expiration but will expire if the validity requirements are not met

AAIR (Annual Airworthiness Information Report):
AAIR must be submitted by the AC owner to TC on an annual basis
Technically the AAIR is not required to go flying
However, this document is a way for TC to keep track of the hours that a particular AC and the General Aviation fleet have both flown respectively
Failure to submit the AAIR to TC does not affect the CoA, but may result in a fine

Change of ownership:
The buyer would complete the application for the registration of an Aircraft and submit it to Transport Canada
Located on the back of the CoR
Buyer would also complete the portion titled interim certificate of registration
the I-CoR is then retained by the buyer and is valid for a period of 90 days
Finally, submit the change of ownership card included
The only proof of ownership, however is a bill of sale

Includes normal, emergency, weight and balance, performance data, and other handling procedures
The AC must be operated in accordance with this manual in order to keep the CoA in force
It must reflect the model year and exact type of the AC (1982, C172P, 1980 C152)

Passenger liability: this is for injuries done to the passengers on board the aircraft. This is optional for private aircraft, but mandatory for commercial operations, including flight training units
Hull Insurance: this covers damage to the AC itself. It is optional
Must be on board all flights

It is not planned that the aircraft will land and shutdown at any location other than the point of departure
The AC is a balloon and the journey log is immediately available to the PIC
Prior to commencing a flight
On completion of the flight
When beginning a new log, enough entries relating to the old log must be entered so as to ensure that an unbroken chronological record is maintained
The old log must be kept for 1 year after the last entry
To make entries:
After every individual flight, and as soon as possible by a competent person with permanent way (ink)
Mistakes can be corrected by crossing them out with a single line and entering the correct information below. The mistake must still be legible after it is crossed out
Accumulated daily flights, if the operator has an approved daily flight sheet. (sign out sheet)
