The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) classifies countries taking account of their health and education attainments in addition to income, in its Human Development Index (HDI).
What is development economics?
- Seeks to analyse the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality and underdevelopment
What does a high gini coefficient mean?
It measures inequality on a scale from 0 to 1, where higher values indicate higher inequality.
