Midazolam (Dormicum)

Answer 1

Seizures w/out IV access
* intubation
* cardioversion

לא לתת אם לחץ הדם נמוך ויש סימנים של היפופרפוזיה

Sedative dose:
0.05-0.1mg/kg IV (usual total
dose 2.5-5mg IV) + 0.5mcg/kg
fentanyl (for analgesia).
Or 0.1mg/kg IM
Max single dose of 10mg

Sedation:
* Drug of choice for refractory
status asthmaticus.
* For dissociative sedation.
* Effective for ED procedural
rapid sequence sedation
before endotracheal
intubation.

Sedative dose (intubation):
2-3mg/kg IV (usual adult dose
is 100mg) or 2-5mg/kg IM

Procedural Sedation dose
(synchronized cardioversion
or TCP):
1mg/kg IV

Analgesic dose:
0.15-0.4mg/kg IV
over 10 min.
