Q

What is the difference between a reflex action and a normal action?

A

In a reflex action, the spinal chord plays the role of the CNS to make the reaction quicker in order to react to a danger. In a normal action there is no danger and the CNS is the brain.

Which 2 reproductive hormones are released by ovaries?

A

Oestrogen, progesterone

17
Q

Role of FSH

A

Causes egg to mature.

Stimulates release of Oestrogen.

18
Q

Role of oestrogen.

A

Stimulates lining of uterus to thicken.
Inhibits release of FSH.
Stimulates release of LH.

19
Q

Role of LH.

A

Stimulates the release of the mature egg.
Inhibits production of oestrogen.
Stimulates production of progesterone.
