The Trees are in their autumn beauty.
Yeats youth is gone
All’s changed since I, hearing at twilight
Yeats feels old/ feels the passing of time
And scatter wheeling in great broken rings
The swans are not affected by the troubles in life
Unwearied still, lover by lover
A line that conveys the flight of the birds/ imagery of the swans in flight.
Companionable streams or climb the air
Yeats wonders what will become of him/ the swans in time to come.
Delight men’s eyes when I awake some day
To find they have flown away?
