AGENT ORANGE
A defoliant (kills leaves on trees) used by the US to destroy jungle cover used by the Vietcong to launch attacks
CAPITALISM
System where the economy is controlled by private owners for profit
COLD WAR
Period of hostility between the Soviet bloc countries and the Western powers from 1945 to 1990
COMECON
Organisation set up by the USSR to control the economies of Eastern Europe
COMINFORM
Organisation set up by the USSR to co-ordinate the communist parties in Europe
COMMUNISM
System where the economy is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to ability and need.
CONTAINMENT
USA policy to give military support to Capitalist countries to stop the spread of Communism

Idea that if one country became Communist other neighbouring countries would follow
