Nutrients
Food nutrients are chemicals found in food. There are 6 major food nutrients.
Carbohydrates
Sugar - to provide energy.
Starch - to provide energy.
Fibre - helps to prevent constipation
Proteins
Helps us grow and repairs damaged tissues
Fats
To protect organs
Give us energy
Gives insulation
Vitamins
Vitamins c : healthy skins and gum
Vitamins d : strong bones and teeth
Obese
Some one who is over weight.
Starvation
Is when you starve someone
Energy
Energy is what you get from starch this is to help you make it through the day
Mouth
A mouth is when you put food in it
Oesophagus
Oesophagus takes the food to the stomach
Stomach
A sack. The food is mixed with stomach acid ( hydrological acid) and digestive enzymes and churned are mixed up.
Liver
A large organ that produces a green liquid called bile that neutralises the stomach and helps break down fats into tiny droplets.
Pan creas
A gland looks like a leaf shape below the stomach that produces digestive enzymes.
Small intestine
Is a long tube that the food move down through after the stomach . Digestive food absorbed from the small intestine into blood stream. More enzymes are produced to break down food further. The blood transfers the nutrients to all body cells.
Large intestine
Water is reabsorbed back into the blood stream. Passes undigested food to the rectum.
