nouns which usually start with a capital letter
they refer to specific people and places
eg. London, James, Othello
what is a noun?
nouns are naming words
they are names we give to people, places, objects, ideas etc
eg. leg, John, girl, book, money, Greggs
what is an abstract noun?
nouns that refer to things that do not physically exist such as ideas or concepts
eg. happiness, truth, honour, symbolism, love, glory
what are concrete nouns?
nouns that physically exist
eg. table, car, scarf, chair, cheese
