Achillea millefolium can occasionally cause an allergic skin irration. Best not to give to children under 5. Or pregnant or breastfeeding.
She of the woods feels this is from dried plant matter. Not tinture made with fresh herbs

Ointment. Apply externally couple of times a day as needed.can also be used on bruises, varicose veins ,and thread veins.
Ingredients 1oz dried yarrow, 1oz dried raspberry leaf 🍃, or 🐎 chestnut 🌰 leaf 🍃, 1 cup extra virgin 🫒 oil.. add 1 oz bees wax.

The chemical constituents include a volatile oil comprised of azulene, caryophyllene, thujone, eucalyptol, α- and β-pinene and borneol, as well as lactones, tannins, and alkaloids. Yarrow extracts are generally recognized as safe in beverages, but the finished product must be thujone-free.

Urinary . As a Diuretic, yarrow relieves fluid retention and can sooth an irritable bladder.
It’s Astringent properties tightens muscles and helps alleviate prolapse and incontinence.
Good for UTI infections

External: the tannins and silica promote tissue repair, ulcers, burns ,good for healing wounds,varicose vains ,haemorrhoids and skin condition ie eczema.

It can be used as an infusion or dilute tinture as a vaginal douce, eyebath,or skin lotion ,as mouth wash for dental hygiene and gingivitis.
Tea brings on periods, good for fever ,
Smells liquorice like.
She makes a great bug spray

Yarrow clears toxins, hest and congestion by aiding elimination of toxins via the skin and the kidneys.

May produce allergic rashes to those with Asteraceae composites Daisy 👪 allergies.
Prolonged use could theoretical cause photosensitivity; just take regular breaks when using the herb and keep doses low.

Yarrow Achillea millefolium essential oil

A

Yarrow is a humble bloom which contrary to its unassuming looks, is a powerful anti-inflammatory, con-taining the compound azulene. Similar to German Chamomile, Yarrow is a deep blue colour and carries a medicinal, green fragrance. Try blending Yarrow in a preparation for eczema or inflamed skin. Its soothing properties when applied in a carrier oil may help to soothe and reduce inflammation. Emotionally, Yarrow is a protective oil. Add to a relaxing bath during periods of stress and emotional turmoil.
