The consequences of the Berlin Blockade
- The cold war intensified and the physical division of Germany became permanent
- West Germany Started prospering due to the financial aid from the Marshall plan and East Germany remained poor because of the reparations they were still paying
- Very soon skilled and professional people moved to West Berlin
- NATO was formed to provide assistance against communist aggression and in response the USSR formed a military alliance known as the Warsaw pact
Bay of pigs
-Cuban people who were against Castro’s government managed to escape to the USA and with the help of the CIA Their goal was to invade the country and start a rebellion.
However, poor planning and false information ruined their operation and The invasion was crushed and most of the invaders were either killed or imprisoned.
