What are informal prayers?
Personal prayers in our own words. Said from the heart.
Why do Catholics pray?
To show love to God. Thank God. To make a request for ourselves or someone else. To ask for forgiveness.
What is the Jesus prayer?
‘Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
What is the first book of the Bible?
Genesis.
What did God command on day 1 in Genesis 1?
Let there be light.
What did God make on day 6 in Genesis 1?
Humans.
How do Catholics understand Genesis 1?
Inspired by God, spiritual truth that teaches us that God created the world and everything good.
How do Literalists understand Genesis 1?
Word of God, God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th.
