Battle between Britain and France for Paris.

Germany’s plan to win the war on two fronts.
Trench Warfare

Western Front
Western Front Region of northern France where much fighting took place.

President Wilson’s plan for peace and the post-WWI world.
Eastern Front
Region along German- Russian border where much fighting took place.

WWI was so bad that people thought there would never be another world war.
League of Nations
International group to solve problems between countries. The US did not join the league of nations.
Treaty of Versailles
Peace treaty that ended WWI. Unfair to Germany.
Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
Peace treaty between Germany and Russia. The treaty got Russia out of WWI.
Total War
When a country uses all of its resources to fight a war. (money, factories, food, weapons, and soldiers)
