It was one of the largest movements of people in United States history. Approximately six million Black people moved.
Armistice
An agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time; a truce.
Lusitania
A British passenger ship that was owned by the Cunard Line and was first launched in 1906. Built for the transatlantic passenger trade, it was luxurious and noted for its speed. During World War I the Lusitania was sunk by a German torpedo, resulting in great loss of life.
Zimmerman Telegram
This was a way that the ally countries secretly communicated.
