What problems did Nicholas face after appointing himself as millitary commander of the Russian army?
he was already extremely disliked and was soon blamed for the hundreds and hundreds of deaths and the strains the war had and held on Russia e.g. the cost was extremely expensive and russias economy could not handle it and that is clearly proven when the government creates the scorched earth policy which forced farmers to leave the fields to ensure the enemy can not use any material
lead to noone being able to farm the fields which then lead to even less food which led to chaos and protests and strikes in the cities
