Define war of attrition
Country with the last man standing wins. Lead to a lot of stalemate and was used as a main tactic in WW1
Define stalemate
No advances are made or lost either way. Trenches on Western Front.
Define Conscription
Being forced to enlist into the armed forces. Tried to be made legal was voted no in two referendums.
Define no man’s land
Mere metres separating the two army trenches

sealing off a place to stop people getting in/or out

a general question or idea that an entire nation votes. Australia had two concerning conscription.

a final demand or statement of terms, the rejection of which will result in retaliation or breakdown in relations
